Karting Girls Team

SEK is thrilled to introduce our brand-new “Just for Girls” endurance kart racing team! This month the team hit the track in Canberra for Round 1 of the SEK Endurance Karting Series, taking on an intense 7.5-hour race—and they crushed it! Now, they’re gearing up for an even bigger challenge: a 9.5-hour endurance race at Orange Kart Track this March.

We now have seven incredible girls of varying ages and experience levels, and as we continue to expand, we’ll be adding a second kart to the lineup!

For over eight years, SEK has been dedicated to supporting girls in endurance kart racing. Gracie and Julie were part of the original team, and they are still racing in the series today—ready to inspire and mentor the next generation of female racers. Julie is a 52-year-old grandmother who still loves mixing it up with the boys on the track! Racing has no age limit, and she is living proof that passion for motorsport never fades.

SEK isn’t just about racing—it’s about family, teamwork, and a love for endurance karting! We race anywhere from 6 to 24 hours, and our community is made up of all kinds of racers. In fact, our oldest driver is in his 70s and still races alongside his daughter!

The girls karting team is open to girls 15 years and older, no prior experience needed—just a passion for racing! This program aims to offer you to be part of an amazing team, develop your skills, and push your limits on the track!

To help more girls get on track and expand our team, SEK NSW are seeking sponsorship support to assist with costs such as race fees, equipment, and travel. If you or your business are interested in partnering with us and supporting women in motorsport, the team would love to hear from you! Contact them at [email protected] to learn more!
