AASA Busy at Melbourne Motor Show

It was a successful outing for the Australian Auto-Sport Alliance (AASA) at the Melbourne Motor Show last weekend.

The Melbourne Motor Show was held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) on Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6.

It was the first time the event had been held in 15 years and proved a huge success, the venue was absolutely packed both day from the moment gates opened to when they closed. Saturday tickets even sold out.

The AASA was at the event with a stall which proved to be very popular, with many, many people learning about the sanctioning body, signing up to the newsletter and finding out how the AASA gives Motorsport a choice.

The team at the event talked to potential customers about how to get involved in AASA run events.

People also registered in a competition to win V8 Hot Laps, Hi-Tec Oils Super Series tickets, or free entry to a test and tune day, the winners will be announced tomorrow (April 9).

As well as all this, on Saturday from 1.30pm-3.30pm, Tabitha Ambrose, Winton Motor Raceway Ambassador, Formula Ford Stars and Renegades Series driver, and the daughter of NASCAR Cup Series race winner Marcos Ambrose was at the stall for a meet and greet with fans.

Ambrose was a busy lady, signing autographs and taking selfies throughout her appearance.

It was a huge venue, with over 20,000 square metres of exhibitions and activities, 22 car manufacturers had vehicles on show. There were racing cars also including a Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car.

Some of the most popular interactions included the Hot Wheels area, the interactive driving experiences and the racing simulators.
