The AASA is pleased to announced that the standard, base weekly benefit cover for all AASA licence holders at AASA events has been increased from $650 to $900 per week, at no additional charge.
In addition, AASA annual licence holders competing at AASA events now have the flexibility of increasing their weekly benefit options through the AASA at the time of renewing their annual licence, or when applying for a new licence.
In the past, competitors wanting to increase their personal accident cover would need to set that up through their own insurance policies.
Now those competitors can choose to increase their weekly benefit amounts for incidents occurring at an AASA sanctioned event, from $900, to $1,100, $1,300 or $1,500.
With motorsport events attracting competitors from all walks of life, including business owners, contractors and executives, the AASA has been approached to offer greater flexibility in insurance options, should injury result in their inability to work whilst participating in AASA sanctioned events.
