SEK NSW – Separated by 6 seconds after 8 hour enduro!

The Sportsman Enduro Karting NSW Championship came to a close this month at the phenomenal Eastern Creek Karting Circuit.

Amazingly, all top 10 teams arrived at the final round within striking distance of the title, with just 392 points separating them, and the top 2 teams, Wright Karts and Stratco Racing, tied at an intense 1672 points! What a way to set the stage for a thrilling end to the championship.

When all was said and done and the chequered flag was out, it was the #6 Wright Karts entry who would take victory to secure those critical eleven points to break the tie and take the win from the #15 Stratco Racing team who fought hard until the end to come across the line in second place. Over eight hours of racing the two title fighting teams completed 480 laps each and finished just 6.7 seconds apart. Six seconds difference after eight hours of racing!

Coming in third for the weekend was a mammoth effort by Wright Karts Factory Seconds, who finished just six laps off the lead lap in their first appearance for the year. Third place overall for the championship was the ,nothing if not accurately named, #19 Team 19 who finished the year just 120 points behind their fellow podium sitters after a consistent year of well placed finishes including multiple second and third place results.

SEK NSW held the annual presentation night following the event and it was fantastic to celebrate everyone who made this year so memorable! Huge thanks to the volunteers, the drivers, the teams, the officials, the committee, our sponsors, and Pulse Productions who expertly captured the event, rain hail or shine.
