2024 Maxxis New Zealand Battle in the Bay Presented by The Structural Shop has been run and done, now that the dust has settled and the ideas are flowing for next year, our stance is still the same… THANK YOU!
Thank you to every team that entered and went out of their way to improve the safety aspects for themselves and their vehicles, we know it’s not sexy or cheap but you guys believed in us enough to give it a go anyway.
Thank you to every volunteer who has given up time to help us achieve these race days, these events simply cannot happen without volunteers.
Thanks to the media for coming out and helping us cover these little races we put on, please make sure you support them and purchase some photos for the wall, it is a little gesture that has a big flow on effect. We can’t grow without media, the gear is expensive and it is the biggest thankless job in the industry.
Thanks to our incredible sponsors who help us create some wicked products to give away, we do our best to work with credible brands in the industry so that we are giving away products to help you elevate your offroad game. Please keep these brands in mind when you go spending for your rig.
Thanks to the Bay of Plenty 4×4 Club Public Page & Rodney Off Road Club & Waikato Offroad Racing Club for the help and use of their premises.
Massive thank you to our Race Ops crew that keep all the wheels turning behind the scenes and on race day!
Thanks must also go to the spectators who came out to check out our little race, there was minimal rubbish and no issues we had to deal with!
We had an amazing weekend, there were smiles for miles all around, the weather was beautiful and the course was a good challenge. Everything ran smoothly with no major issues, apart from a couple of breakages the field looked to have put in the extra effort in prep which we love to see!
A huge congratulations to Dyson & Kieran (4987) for taking out the top spot with the overall win, it was a well fought race, congratulations must also go to our other podium winners Tim & Malcolm (4944) and Stan & Chris (4438).
While the road to get Ultra4 NZ up and running has been anything but smooth, it dawned on us over the weekend that we have taken the right approach to getting this sport off the ground as we have attracted some amazing people to create a very solid foundation for this little family to grow. We are very excited to see where we can take this sport, with the Ultra4 never quit mentality growing, We are excited for the future of offroad racing in NZ.
We are honored to be taking a top team with us to represent NZ in America again for King of the Hammers, we couldn’t have asked for better people to surround ourselves with and we are confident that there is no task we can’t solve when helping turn the wheels at the world’s biggest and wildest offroad event. We are looking forward to seeing our Ultra4 NZ family grow further as we get to hang out with the rest of the Ultra4 family from around the world!
Looking forward to seeing what we can do next year, we hope to announce dates in the next few weeks all going to plan. On behalf of the Ultra4 team, thanks for all the support, commitment and entertainment you all provided!
